Namaste! My name is Heldine (pronounced "hel-deen") Aguiluz. :)
I started practicing yoga around 2010. As an actor, I saw it as a great way to get fit and to get more in touch with the instrument that is my body. Through my practice, I started to gain a greater awareness of my body and thoughts. I realized how much I disliked myself. The more I practiced yoga, the more I learned about myself and the more I started to love myself. I love the practice so much that I decided to do yoga teacher training to be able to share what I've learned with others.
Yes, yoga can be a great way to work out. But to me, that's such a small aspect. Join me for yoga to not only work out, but to also work in and have a stronger awareness of your self that you can carry back out into the world. <3 I am available for Private Sessions (1-on-1s or groups).
I have 500 hours of yoga certification. I studied alignment-based vinyasa, meditation, and elemental tantra. I have also completed a Level 1 Sound Bath & Healing Training. I previously taught vinyasa and meditation classes at The Springs LA. My meditation practices include vipassana, Kalavahana, kirtan, mantra, and breathing techniques.
In January 2017, I decided to start taking pole dancing and twerk classes and loved them so much that I still take classes now. I see it as another form of yoga - a way to connect with my body, love it, and express myself. I am excited to combine yoga, meditation, and dancing in a new dance playshop that I will be teaching at two women's retreats. Join me October 5-7, 2018 or November 1-4, 2018!
